FOR THE DOSHI REETREAT AT VITRA MUSEUM
.
No. 3 Clive Road presents a special tea blend to celebrate the Doshi Retreat at Vitra Campus, designed by India's first Pritzker Architecture Prize laureate, Balkrishna Doshi, with Khushnu Panthaki Hoof and Sonke Hoof.
.
Like architecture itself, grounded in tradition, yet alive with unexpected detail, the blend brings together the bold warmth of cardamom, ginger, cloves, cinnamon, and black pepper, with the golden brightness of marigold petals. Each cup is an invitation to pause, to savour, and to taste the layered essence of a place.
.
The artwork for the Retreat Blend has been created by Mata ni Pachedi artisans, drawing on the vibrant folk art historically made by nomadic communities of Gujarat as portable temples, tracing the banks of the Sabarmati River in Gujarat. Their hand-painted narrative cloths mirror the layered storytelling in Doshi's architecture - where each space unfolds like a scene, each detail carrying memory and meaning.
.
This blend is a sensory tribute to the philosophies that have shaped the retreat's design, a vision rooted in harmony and timelessness. Unveiled at the Vitra Campus, where global design and architecture converge, this tea becomes a cultural bridge: an infusion that carries the fragrance of India's landscapes, the warmth of its hospitality, and the depth of its artistic traditions into an international retreat.
.
In the spirit of Studio Sangath - meaning 'moving together' - this tea is more than a beverage. It is an experience: of community, of conversation, and of the gentle, flowing creativity long inspired by the analogy of a river.
