\n<\/b>Explore a daily ritual from the Valley with our summer intern, Tenzin! As she shares her butter tea recipe, with a side of freshly baked <\/span>khambir<\/span><\/i>!
\n<\/span>.
\n<\/span>Ingredients:
\n<\/b>2 cups of water
\n<\/span>2 teaspoons of black tea, we recommend Assam<\/a>
\n<\/span>1\/2 teaspoon salt
\n<\/span>1 Tablespoon unsalted butter
\n<\/span>.
\n<\/span>Equipment<\/b>:
\n<\/span>Saucepan
\n<\/span>Full Leaf Strainer<\/a>
\n<\/span>Frother or a Churner
\n<\/span>.
\n<\/b>Steps to brew the perfect butter tea
\n<\/b>Add the water to a saucepan and bring to a boil.
\n<\/span>Add in the Assam tea<\/a> and let it boil for 2 – 3 minutes.
\n<\/span>With the help of the strainer<\/a>, sieve the tea leaves.
\n<\/span>Gradually add salt, butter and milk to the brewed tea and churn or froth for 3 – 4 minutes.
\n<\/span>Reboil the butter tea, if needed.
\n<\/span>.
